Anne Mushumanski Scholarship

 
The Anne Mushumanski Scholarship fund was established by the WSSC executive. This is to help provide funding for a skater pursuing a higher level of excellence, higher level of education and excellence, or a coach pursuing higher level of accreditation.
 
With the long history of WSSC success, this is away of helping our athletes and coaches achieve continued success.
 
The Anne Mushumanski Scholarship fund is an outright gift of $500.00. This can be used how the recipient chooses.


Criteria

To apply for the WSSC Scholarship fund the applicant must apply in writing with the following in the documentation.

 

  1. The applicant must be a member of the WSSC for minimum three years to be eligible.
  2. The applicant needs to demonstrate excellence in service to the WSSC.
  3. The applicant needs to prove their leadership abilities, by mentoring and teaching the younger skaters.
  4. The applicant will need to show how they plan on giving back to the sport of speed skating and to the WSSC.
  5. The applicant needs to be in good standing with WSSC coaches and executive.
  6. Junior status or higher.
  7. If the applicant is a coach they will also need to add how the club will improve by getting the higher level of accreditation.
  8. The applicant will need to list three references.
